world of hurt
Nov. 29th, 2004 07:14 amI began playing World of Warcraft on Tuesday at approximately 7PM.
It is currently Monday at approximately 7AM.
/played
2 days, 11 hours, 7 minutes, 47 seconds
And that's an underestimate, since that only displays honest ticking for my main character. I also have a few hours on various brief alts, and lots of time spent shuffling in loading screens and server queues and the like.
This gameis eating has eaten my life. I say this with a mix of pride, pain, joy, and mad desperation. For those of you not yet consumed, I urge you not to play this game at all until you have taken all of your finals, stocked up on easily prepared food, and set your worldly affairs in order. Then play it until you pass out. Then wake up and play it some more. That's basically what I've been doing, modulo a grocery trip or two and an evening at Professor Cook's house for Thanksgiving.
For those curious, I am on Bleeding Hollow. Miriel, 20 Human Priest. She's pretty.

Date: 2004-11-29 06:35 am (UTC)I believe I am fast approaching 2 days of time on my main character. This frightens me, as I had two traveling days over the vacation - I'd probably be level 22-24, with 3 days of time in, had I not gone home for the holiday. I play this game too much, but it is fun.
Except when my desktop's video card vomits geometry all over the place. Blurgh.

Date: 2004-11-29 07:52 am (UTC)I was considering calling you last night, to verify that WoW had eaten your soul, but I'd gotten 2 hours of sleep the night before. I seriously considered pulling out your schedule and calling you one hour before your earliest obligation today.
Actually, come to look at it, didn't you say your schedule was posted to livejournal at some point? I can't find it, though you might have just been talking about a list of your courses, which I can find.
Wow. I am astounded by my inability to search the UT Austin schedule of courses without signing up for a fucking tracking system. I sent an email to them; I imagine I'll follow up.
