Have you ever been mellow?
May. 28th, 2003 10:36 pmI'm glad they have mellow listed as a mood.
Today was an interesting day. I went to see a good friend of mine from home today. She is in fact the only friend I still keep in touch with that I met before college. Learned some very interesting things today, though you'll have to ask in person for details. The lifegraph gets more interesting by the minute.
Storm Wall was cancelled, so it looks like I'll just be waffling around the house for the weekend. That's all right; though I was looking forward to an actual roleplay-intensive event, it does save me event fees, gas, and time. North South War is still definitely on. Any of you who are in the Massachusetts area around June 14-15, and are interested in LARPing, I wildly encourage you to come. It's a glorious beatfest.
Talked to Julie at length on AIM just now, which is actually a stepping stone, because this is the first time we've actually been able to talk online. I just kept missing her before :-). But the ether has been successfully bridged, and that's encoruaging. I got another history lesson or two, always a plus.
I've become exceedingly wordy and contrived of speech lately, especially on AIM. It's neat, but not necessarily a keeper. We'll see.
Oh, I forgot to mention in my previous post: I watched Equilibrium with my folks a few days ago. That movie is so fucking cool. It features, among other things, gun-kata, a martial art based entirely on firearms. Brilliantly executed. The plot and thematic material are also excellent, and play nicely back and forth with the action aspect.
