I too am an intp, though the T is far more (on almost any test it's a good 80% or so), whereas especially the N is not that pronounced.

The enneagram I find a much more interesting system in any case.
It seems to say more thing that upon examination appear to be true but aren't as ass-obivous.

9,5,4,1 all make sense, though I can see why 9 and 5 came out ahead. An interesting test.
The 'similarminds' test put me in 2w1, which didn't seem appropriate; I think my answers over-inflated the emotional aspect.

hmm. So 9 and 5 appear similar (e.g. they have similar behaviors) but for substantially different reasons.
9s tend to be want to avoid messing up any of the wonder of life. They tend to be somewhat introvert to avoid pissing other people off, or putting themselves through emotionally.

5s on the other hand, tend to be much more for following whatever, often esoteric, interests they have. they like to feel knowledgeable. 5s are usually more removed because they are still collecting information.

So the question to ask, is if you avoid taking action, are you doing so to avoid bad or awkward outcomes, or is it because you feel like you don't know enough to make an informed decision?

(fwiw, I myself am definitely a 5.)

it's hard to explain, but in a certain sense they are incompatible.
