Dec. 25th, 2001 03:05 amYay! It's Christmas! Merry Christmas everyone!
Our family just did the St.Nick thing (we get home from midnight mass and my older brother has conveniently arrayed everyone's "Santa" gifts in advance). So we all opened our presents, and great amusement ensued.
Yes, the date and time of this entry are correct. We do open our gifts at 3am.
It's quite simple really. My parents don't want to be jostled out of bed at ungodly hours by my zealous little siblings, so we just get the whole mess out of the way and sleep late in the morning. It's great!
My younger sister got a weekend trip to Adventure Game Theater (see www.agt.org for details). My older brother got an army's worth of Warhammer miniatures. I got a $100 gift certificate for books (mmm...college_expense_reduction++).
And my younger brother got a box.
Inside this box was a smaller box.
Inside that box was an even smaller box.
Inside that box was a $100 bill.
He went nuts. It was great. We all made LOTR jokes about "my precioussss....", watching him hold his money and dance around.
We went on to open some miscellaneous gifts. I'm very happy with the blue rope lights my parents got me. I just have a thing for weird lights.
Hugs to everyone! I hope you're having a nice Christmas, or if you are otherwise inclined, a splendiferous 25th of December!
